Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the senior leadership team of the practice area, partnering with business leaders to achieve financial performance, expand clients and services and foster a diverse and inclusive culture for all employees
  • Oversee practice area administrative services including: Finance, Program Management, Proposal Center, and serve as a liaison to Corporate Departments including: Human Resources, Finance, Facilities, Governance Risk and Compliance and Legal
  • Manage the development and administration of the practice area budget including updates to revenue and expenditure forecasts
  • Oversee product line / divisional financial reporting and analysis including approving expenditures in accordance with policy and manage the preparation and implementation of practice area budgetary adjustments as necessary
  • Provide support, guidance and oversight of subsidiary staffing company
  • Manage division Strategic Planning process including regular updates and metrics on progress toward goals and objectives.  Actively contribute to and manage the divisions input into the corporate strategic planning process
  • Review and recommend administrative process improvements leveraging data to support the need for change and by leading the implementation of new technology or revised procedures
  • Assist in other corporate or practice area initiatives (e.g. participate in corporate subcommittees, lead training), as assigned
  • Develop and mentor staff, provide feedback, guidance and opportunities for growth, exhibit leadership by encouraging creativity, ownership, and skill development


Qualifications

  • Extensive (5+ years) senior level experience as an Administrative Officer and/or Senior leader of one or more departments including Finance, Project Management, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), or similar position 
  • BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA is a definite plus
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively hire, train and lead a team
  • Effective customer service skills including the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
  • Solid understanding of business functions (HR, finance, project management, compliance, etc.)
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Understanding of current developments in both the public administration and organizational development fields
  • Contemporary management principles and supervisory practices including the ability to exercise good judgement and provide strategic advice
  • Work independently and be self-driven but also be an effective team player
