Registered Nurse – HCBS Waivers Review in Illinois


  • Builds and maintains relationships with users and providers to provide a high level of customer service. Evaluates provider for compliance to applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with providers to schedule onsite visits 
  • Clearly communicate visit requirements to providers 
  • Conduct informational provider compliance interviews 
  • Evaluate provider documentation and business practices against applicable regulations 
  • Collect data and documentation from provider sites to support compliance findings 
  • Utilize technology to convert hard copy documentation to electronic and submit via Web-based application 
  • Assess physical provider site for compliance with oversight regulations 
  • Summarize onsite visit compliance findings for Medicaid 
  • Assist in determining trends in non-compliance and inadequate business processes 
  • Make appropriate and timely recommendations to project management 
This position is a 100% remote role that involves travel and will work from a home office. This person must be able to travel to provider sites on a daily basis within the state of Illinois.

Required Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in any field 
  • Must possess an Active Illinois Registered Nurse License
  • 2+ years’ experience working with critical care providers, public health providers, or providers that care for children, older adults, persons with traumatic brain injury, or persons with developmental disabilities.
  • 1+ year of experience with provider monitoring, Medicaid or third-party payer provider billing, or provider training
  • Ability to work with and relate to staff and demonstrate active listening skills 
  • Must be computer literate and have MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet skills 
  • Process oriented and results-driven work strategy 
  • Ability to foster teamwork with all levels of management and staff 
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Exemplary Customer Service relationship techniques, including superior verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail 
  • Experience in meeting deadlines and adhering to strict standard
