Senior Healthcare Program Specialist (DFRS) Item 1040  in Albany, NY

Additional Requirements and Day-to-Day Tasks of Position

Responsible for the following:

  • Complete State Plan amendment packages for submission for CMS approval
  • Satisfaction of reporting requirements and CMS RAIs relating to OP UPL payments
  • Coordinate the annual submission of the UPL for Outpatient services
  • Forecast, track, and monitor the Health Facility Cash Assessment Program (HFCAP)
  • Send out bills/letters for HFCAP delinquency and refer to recoupment/ the attorney general as appropriate
  • Provide programmatic HFCAP support and backup HCRA support as needed
  • Development of annual Covered Lives Assessment (CLA) rates
  • Evaluate Statewide Provider Tax percentages to ensure Federal compliance
  • Additional ad-hoc assignments as required


Position and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years’ experience
