Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and articulate the vision for a deeply integrated and consistent, joined up, end-to-end digital experience for the new life insurance application experience.
  • Will incorporate the following design principles into the final experience.
  • Increased accuracy in risk assessment and the ability to provide, in real-time, an optimal rate class to meet a broader base of Client needs.
  • Increased transparency and simplicity across the  Representative (Rep) and Client experiences.
  • Highly-digital, paperless processes for new business operations.
  • Succinct, clear language in all external-facing documents.
  • Multilingual capabilities for clients and Reps.
  • Seamless, fast processes and technology solutions to meet Client and Rep expectations.
  • Increased Client and Rep access to support tools and resources.
  • Data elements to be conformed to align on a "single source of truth”.
  • Enhanced use of data analytics to drive strategic insights.
  • Define business objectives and connect features to those objectives to discipline the approach and ensure digital solutions deliver concrete, high business value over time.
  • Identify and allocate skills and resources to convert strategic vision into an attainable objective for their product team(s).
  • As necessary, choose technology vendors and other partners to assist with all or parts of strategy development, platform development, systems integration, interface design, and usability testing. Participate in buy v. build analysis, as needed.
  • Work directly with developers, engineers, customer experience designers, program managers, business & QA analysts and other stakeholders in the business on a daily basis, including:
  • Coordinating activities between internal stakeholders (IT, marketing, operations, legal & compliance, etc.), vendor partners (product and service providers, systems integrators, interactive agencies, development partners, etc.), quantifying pre-integration work, and defining what collaboration will be necessary to work through the road map.
  • Assess current digital usage of the new life insurance application and tools on the new technology platform by  Reps and be laser-focused on KPIs to track progress and manage changes quickly. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement. Defining what "better" looks like is a central responsibility. This includes making the case for even deeper integration with the digital ecosystem and developing the feature roadmap – features that move from basic to more complex features that interact with core transactional systems. This requires a strong understanding of technology and user experiences to make the right tradeoffs in deciding on the product features to develop.
  • Collaborate with the  Life Insurance management and operations, marketing, training, communications and public relations groups to:
  • Market and explain the services to  Reps in a clear and compelling way.
  • Help define how best to describe the benefits of the new life insurance application and digital tools, with a focus on increasing the efficiency for completing and submitting new life insurance application submissions, growing the life insurance business through higher new business and higher face amounts, and supporting the Rep's business model and messaging to drive growth for their life insurance business.
  • Develop a clearly thought-out and ongoing marketing strategy to deliver the right information to the right audience when needed (across multiple channels), encourage repeated use and overcome the barriers that deter customers (Reps) from using our digital solutions.
  • Act as an ongoing champion for the supported products. 

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Decisiveness natural problem solver who makes decisions and prioritizes initiatives using data and facts rather than intuition and feeling.
  • Product management (Preferred) minimum three to five years of strong product-management experience and a good sense for the intersection of business, user-experience design, and technology.
