Job Description

Immediate need for a talented IT Clinical Systems Administrator with experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Summit, NJ. Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Provide maintenance and support for SAS products during deployment, upgrade and any changes to SAS products and/ or during other enterprise activities that impact SAS infrastructure
Track SAS products inventory and license updates for SAS servers and end users
Establish best practices for administering and interpreting sources of data
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical end-user support related to SAS Administration, CDR and MDR
Proactively monitor and tune appropriate systems to ensure optimum level of performance
Manage the configuration support and maintenance of the platform for SCE, MDR, CDR
Monitor usage logs to assist in performance tuning of the systems and servers
Create SDLC documentation and ensure alignment to overall SDLC and Change Management, Release management and Configuration processes
Conform to system architecture standards and practices and work with outsourced suppliers as required to keep up to date with enabling technologies
Interface directly with various IT functional areas as it pertains to Clinical Solutions (such as but not limited to SAS, MDR, CDR Administration)
Address other IT tasks as assigned by -
Perform installation, upgrade and configuration of SAS technology products on all supported server environments.
Monitor the overall availability and performance of the current SAS technology server environments and take corrective actions as necessary to insure peak operational performance.
Provide solution assistance to ensure that the most appropriate technology is selected to satisfy the business requirements and to provide user assistance during early phases of the project lifecycle.
Contribute to the development of standards and operating procedures for the environments and the development of new service offerings to ensure that the user community receives the highest levels of support.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. 
5 years of experience with SAS products, Analytical tools, Clinical Data Repositories and other relevant Clinical Development tools
Optional: 3 years or more years of experience Administering SAS product suite in a regulated Pharmaceutical environment
Optional: Experience in working on Cloud Platforms (AWS preferred)

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:
Experience and/or certification in SAS platform administration
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
5 years or more years of experience with SAS products (SAS GRID, PC SAS)
3 years or more years of experience Administering SAS product suite.
Familiarity on Cloud Platforms
Technical Project Management
 Strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
Ability to research and recommend technical designs and architectures to support requirements.
Strong troubleshooting skills
Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows environments and shell scripting
 Ability to effectively interface with clients (including senior management) and the technical team.
Must be Client service-driven with excellent communication, relationship management and analytical skills
 Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.
 Ability to perform tasks proactively with minimal supervision.
Experience with systems in a Pharmaceutical environment

Competencies Required:
Experience as a system administrator installing, configuring, and maintaining SAS Application Server software and other Clinical Technologies; and as a system administrator working with established change management processes.
Subject Matter Expert in SAS Administration
System Administration experience.
Programming experience.
Application design and architecture experience.
Knowledge of the Clinical Trial process
