We are looking for a skilled and motivated Purchasing Specialist to contract with our Clients Sports Business Unit, and specifically in our Internal Operations Team. The candidate will be a team player, collaborating in the fast and dynamic environment of supporting the supply chain of materials for a sports broadcast technology operation. 
The team (Internal Operations) consists of 3 team members located in Folsom and 4 in Israel. Extended team stakeholders we work with will be in Santa Clara and LA. 

The candidate should be experienced in organizing and coordinating various business processes. The primary duties of this Purchasing Specialist role will be procurement (planning and creating purchase orders), logistics (processing shipment requests) and general business support, while supporting cross-functional teams in the Clients Sports Business Unit. You will provide direct support and guidance to team leads and individual contributors. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the primary functions listed and also be comfortable operating in a matrix organization of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner.

The job will be based in the Clients Folsom, Ca site. Interaction and support to other employees will be with a few in Folsom and others (via phone) in other California and Israel site locations. The candidate will need to be flexible to take occasional early morning or evening time phone meetings to coordinate with our Israel site. (approx 1-4hrs/wk would be outside the usual 8-5p work day). Flexible adjustments can be allowed to selected work days hours so the candidate can make the off-hours calls. A few (2 to 4) day trips (in California) may be required during the duration of the assignment to establish good relationships with business contacts. 

• Process procurement from purchase requests, through purchase orders and tracking goods receipts to internal customers. 
• Process logistics from requests, through internal shipping orders and tracking goods receipts to internal customers. 
• Drive problem solving analysis to root-cause purchasing/payment issues and also logistics delivery issues. 
• Monitor/track progress on small internal sub-assembly build operation. 
• Place shipping orders with our US warehouse and also help resolve inventory issues. 
• Support our Clients Sports Asset Tracking database tool and process, including supporting users and checking for accurate records. 
• Track procurement & logistics processing data including measuring our performance against our service level agreement (SLA), and identifying process improvements. 
• Create/update regular dashboard/indicators. 
• Coordinate meeting invitations for a few weekly forums; attend meetings; and capture minutes/actions. 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a business office environment. 
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience placing purchase orders (POs) in a medium to large organization. 
• Experience handling logistics requests a plus (shipment processing & docs) 
• Understands good purchasing practices, materials planning processes and general supply chain concepts. 
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) is helpful. 
• Outstanding process and organizational skills. 
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability. 
• Must be experienced using Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook). 
• Experience with process definition and flowcharting using Visio preferred. 
• Interest and familiarity with major global sports will be helpful. 

Minimum requirement:
Associates Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
