Job Description

The Senior Vice President ('SVP') Integrated Marketing Solutions defines the strategic opportunity for marketing performance in the overall context of our clients' marketing objectives and business needs. They take a leadership role in client engagements and the Traditional, Digital and Social Strategy Department, identifying leading marketing trends. They articulate the consumer experience solutions in relation to business goals, consumer needs, and marketing technologies.

The SVP is both visionary and strategic, yet pragmatic in their development of resources and delivery of business solutions. You will work with a high performing, directly managed team, covering campaign management, data analytics, creative, user experience, digital production, digital media, strategic account management and peers within the Company running sales (inside and outside sales), production operations, Information technology, and finance and accounting. You and your team will be instrumental in working with clients in the formulation and ongoing evaluation of their strategies and plans to increase customer revenue, satisfaction, retention and experience, speed to market and cost optimization.

In this role you will be responsible for designing, communicating, monitoring and improving Omni-channel, integrated marketing campaigns and outsourced business solutions across a diverse client base. A deep understanding of customer behavior, fundamentals of sales and marketing psychology and a strong grasp of ROI and analytics is paramount to this position.

  • Be the marketing visionary and strategist to key clients the person they rely upon to help them succeed. It's clear that this person understands their business and they are invested in mutual success.
  • Work closely with peers running sales, operations, IT and finance.
  • Develop thorough understanding of full breadth and depth of Dialog Direct's services, solutions and vertical market expertise in order to bring to bear most comprehensive and robust ideas and solutions to the client.
  • Embody the strategic idea, the audience's heart, and the brand's voice. Make it personal.
  • Provide thought leadership within cross-functional teams, including partner agencies.
  • Craft compelling strategic documents for clients; help edit and shape the contributions of others.
  • Proactively suggest new ways of developing and understanding the brand.
  • Propose, design, and manage research projects (quantitative and qualitative), such as audience insight efforts and creative development dialogue with consumers.
  • Recommend innovative ideas for various communication channels.
  • Take responsibility for working with clients to evaluate the effectiveness of creative ideas in the marketplace; this includes copy testing and monitoring brand health metrics.
  • Work with Account Management Teams to evaluate and understand the effectiveness of current client strategies, make recommendations for optimization and monitor progress.


Client / People

  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to define business goals and requirements.
  • Lead and consult with teams on the implementation of tactics, technologies.
  • Facilitate groups both formally and informally in strategy and ideation.
  • Work with Account Management to implement and test strategies to optimize the achievement of client goals.
  • Through regularly scheduled on-site reporting visits with clients and campaign review meetings, help clients become increasingly focused on accountability and metrics; assist them in interpreting and using metrics to set priorities.

Multi-Channel Management Strategy / Consumer Experience Development

  • Understand and identify the role of direct marketing, websites, mobile, online media, social, and other emerging digital platforms in the construction of consumer experience plans/journeys.
  • Work with creative to provide guidance on needs and types of digital platforms, experiences, and content.
  • Assess technology drivers and the competitive environment.
  • Identify specific and actionable omni-channel campaign strategies based on data driven insights and qualitative observations.
  • Serve as an evangelist both inside and outside of the agency on direct marketing, digital, social media, mobile.

Content Management

  • Engage client stakeholders across lines of business and partner agencies in sourcing content.
  • Develop editorial calendar/recommend new content initiatives based on strategic gaps in current mix.
  • Provide direction, guidelines, specifications and examples that will facilitate the flow of production-ready content for digital content publishing.
  • Develop recommendations and solutions that address client content problems -- from creation to the platforms where it is distributed and consumed. Recommend processes for delivering effective content at the scale and cadence required by the business.

Analysis and Research

  • Define success measures, KPIs and ROIs.
  • Proficient at using secondary data and when necessary, work with agency partners to conduct primary research.
  • Adept at analyzing web, online media, and social analytics.
  • Skilled at generating actionable and impactful insights and recommendations from a multitude of analytics and research observations.


  • Bachelor's degree in business science, analytics, marketing and communications; Master's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • At least seven (7) years' experience in multi-channel marketing including direct (digital variable print and call center) and digital marketing (websites, online media, search, social, mobile, email).
  • Familiar with web and online media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, WebTrends.
  • Proficient in CRM, marketing automation platforms and advanced analytics to develop omni-channel campaigns.
  • Good knowledge of elements of direct marketing rules and regulations.
  • Experience in strategic planning.
  • Strong project management and interdepartmental skills; Ability to work with C-suite level to production floor.
  • Experience in healthcare, insurance, CPG automotive and logistics industries preferred.
  • Comfortable in developing solutions on a B2B and B2C basis.
  • Proficient at top-down analysis and problem solving techniques.
  • Strong understanding of research methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented; willingness to dig into details and execute.
  • Possess an innately curious mind. Think logically based on data and research but inspired by creativity and human behaviors.
  • Results oriented based upon overall client and Company profitability (i.e., strong P&L manager).
