Job Description

Leading, local company is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to join their team! 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as follows. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain an updated marketing plan to adapt to market conditions and assure a quality book of business

  • Responsible for hiring, development, counseling and terminating personnel and conducting salary performance reviews within the authority of the position (Personnel development is crucial to this position)

  • Oversee development of producer base. Identify and respond to changes in broker production

  • Create a dynamic, action oriented and proactive marketing environment

  • Implement strategies at the broker level to increase profitable production

  • Define and sponsor the development of market friendly technologies

  • Coordinate and attend industry meetings and conventions

  • Develop advertising materials, and broker and carrier newsletters

  • Advise management of industry trends, developments and competition

  • Attend weekly management meetings and report on marketing trends

  • Handle problem producer files and phone calls from brokers and insured

  • Know the insurance code in states we are working. Currently CA & TX

  • Motivate employees and create a positive and healthy work environment

  • Provide input on procedure/system changes that will improve quality and productivity

  • Bi-lingual capability is advantageous though not required

  • Perform duties within acceptable time and quality standards as set by the company

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the senior management team

  • Think outside the box and articulate those thoughts with the executive team

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • College education is valued but not required

  • Requires a minimum of three years of marketing and/or sales experience

  • Highly value management level business experience both in and outside of the insurance industry
