Job Description

A nonprofit organization in Manhattan that is dedicated to promoting the optimal development of young children. They offer educational and therapeutic services for children from birth through age five and for their parents, the professionals, and institutions that serve them. This organization strives to identify and address developmental and mental health challenges, focusing on children's interests and strengths and ensuring that the relationships in which they grow are positive and supportive.
 
Sr. Human Resource Generalist/Recruiter
  • Oversee Human Resource Associate and Human Resource Administrative
  • Lead team that is administering benefits, handling credentialing, and overseeing employee relations
  • Builds a strategic pipeline of candidates, partnering with universities, and advertising to fill open positions, as well as forecast future needs
  • Create and post job postings adhering to applicable laws, while targeting candidates who meet the specific qualifications for each position.
  • Attend industry-relevant and university sponsored career fairs to attract and recruit candidates.
  • Manage and maintain job-posting and event budget, measuring percentages of quality candidates yielded from each post/fair, ensuring a positive ROI for all expenses.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and appropriate hiring managers/supervisors, as appropriate.
  • Conduct initial in-person interviews for non-clinical candidates when requested by the hiring manager.
  • Conduct telephone references for non-clinical candidates.
  • Contact candidates to make offers, when requested by the hiring manager.
  • Complete on-boarding process all candidates ensuring they're properly licensed/certified and fully credentialed for the program and or buildings in which they are working.
  • Send weekly communication to all department/hiring managers and Senior Staff members recapping weekly recruitment efforts, indicating where each specific candidate is in the recruitment/on-boarding process.
  • Effectively network via social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Requirements:
  • 2 – 5 years recruitment and/or human resource generalist experience required
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work in high-pressure situations
  • A customer service professional with leadership and critical thinking skills
  • Computer proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets
