RCS has an immediate need for a Junior Field Sales Representative to support our client's growth efforts. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity. The location is open, with preference to local offices: Houston, TX, San Antonio, TX, Dallas, TX, Abilene, TX, Carlsbad, NM, Odessa, TX, Pleasonton, CA.

Our client has developed a leading reputation in the Oil & Gas industry across Texas and the southern United States, by providing the highest level of safety and quality for industrial radiographic testing (RT).
Our client's mobile teams offer NDT services that fulfill the regulatory requirements of API, ASME, and AWS for quality control (QC) and asset integrity management (AIM) purposes.


The Junior Salesman will focus on new customer acquisition, and renewing work for current customers. This position involves client business referrals, and/or researching web leads. He/she will be responsible for offering and explaining to current and prospective customers/clients all services offered, and providing additional presentations as needed. Additional responsibilities include account management for our rental customers. Potential candidates must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic plans by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting assumptions and recommending objectives.
  • Accomplish subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets and measurements of results. Allocates resources, reviews progress and makes mid-course corrections.
  • Coordinate efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field and technical services policies and practices; coordinate actions with corporate staff.
  • Build company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations and employees while enforcing ethical business practices.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state of the art practices and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to overall team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Other Responsibilities

  • Willingness to spend time in the field with our inspectors to gain a better understanding of our business and the services we offer.
  • Renewal of previously performed work orders for existing customers (the service we perform is mandated on an annual basis).
  • Presenting and delivering information to potential clients.
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients.
  • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, trade shows, etc.
  • Maintaining database of prospective client information using Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.
  • Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
  • Building pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales.
  • Working with sales team and clients to close sales and offer support throughout the entire process.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering preferred
  • 3-5 years of B2B experience
  • Experience working as a 'Hunter' finding new clients.
  • Experience in power or nuclear industry a plus. 
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
  • In-depth understanding of company services and its position in the industry.
  • Tenacity to handle rejection and continue on with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client.
  • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close.
  • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories.
  • Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience preferred.
