RCS Corporation has an immediate need for a Learning and Development HR Consultant in Charlotte, NC.  This is a full-time, direct hire assignment offering a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Our Client
RCS' Client is an engineering consulting firm of approximately 300 highly qualified professionals and support personnel and 11 office locations.  The company possesses products and expertise that span all aspects of structural integrity in industrial components and equipment. In addition to our analytical services, our client offers a full spectrum of state-of-the-art NDE inspection and metallurgical services.


Our Client is seeking a Learning & Development Consultant/HR Manager to join our Huntersville, NC office. This position is both a strategic and hands-on role that requires in-depth knowledge of and ability to facilitate the Employee Life-cycle, with a strong focus on Learning and Development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead company-wide learning and development programs, including assessing needs, making recommendations, and implementing solutions
  • Function as a strategic business partner to business unit management and employees
  • Execute HR strategies and programs that support business and corporate strategic goals
  • Work with business unit heads to anticipate and plan for upcoming staffing needs and related budgets
  • Provide coaching, counseling, and advocacy to managers and employees
  • Interact with managers and employees one-on-one and via round tables
  • Handle employee relations and investigations
  • Provide data analysis and reporting solutions based on business needs
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and HR legislation to insure business compliance
  • Travel to other offices – up to 20%


  • BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with emphasis on Learning & Development
  • Experience building relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Analytical and data management skills, with ability to translate data into action planning
  • Experience with HRIS, preferably Kronos
  • PHR or SHRM certification a plus
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
