RCS has an immediate need for a Logistics Analyst in the Portsmouth, VA area. This opportunity is a direct hire position with a large company on a full-time basis.

Job Summary

Our Client is actively seeking a Logistics Analyst to perform a variety of logistics support tasks across logistics element areas (Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, supply support, package/handling/storage/transportation, configuration management) of Submarine ILS.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Generate and submit configuration files in support of submarine modernization process.
  • Review reports, technical papers, drawings, specifications, procedures, etc., and assist with validations/verifications; provide comments and impacts.
  • Assist with inventorying, cataloging, warehousing, material/property control coordination, and data entry in support of various supply activities.
  • Create, complete and verify receiving/shipping documentation.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Logistics or related job field and at least 5 years of job related experience or equivalent (2 years of additional work experience may be substituted for each year of education).
  • Three (3) years of material supply functions, either in the military of in commercial applications.
  • Position requires an active Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Must be familiar with the NAVSEA submarine modernization ILS processes including ILS Certification, Risk Assessment and Waiver, configuration management, supply support/provisioning, ILS product delivery/installation, and RMMCO check-in/check-out requirements.
  • Must have familiarity with the following system: Configuration Data Manager Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), Navy Data Environment (NDE), Supportability Integrated Logistics Capability (SILC), Technical Data Management Information System (TDMIS), Navy Tool for Interoperability and Risk Assessment (NTIRA).
  • Position may require 20% travel.
  • Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate with a wide range of internal and external organizations at multiple levels of management.
  • Must be capable of working independently or in a team environment.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience related to submarine maintenance and modernization is desirable.
