RCS Corporation has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance Technician II in Mt. Vernon, IN.  This is a contract assignment with anticipated duration of 4-6 months with possible extension thereafter. Local candidates are required for this role as per diem is not available.

Our Client specializes in the design and manufacture of large, heavy components. The locations are two of only a few North American suppliers of large, heavy-walled nuclear components and vessels.

Summary
The QA Technician will work under the direct supervision of the Quality Manager to ensure that all technical and quality requirements of assigned contracts are met and properly documented.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of quality documents that ensure company and customer quality requirements are met.
  • Assist with internal and supplier audits to assure customer requirements are being met.
  • Identify problem areas and recommend solutions to audit findings and observations.
  • Organize own work patterns toward accomplishment of stated objectives
  • Create and revise data sheets, procedures, quality documents etc.
  • Prepare routine reports, meeting minutes; develop forms for formal external and internal reports and correspondence, etc.
  • File creation and maintenance
  • Information research (Code books, vendors, etc.)
  • Send fax, copy, print documents
  • Other office related tasks as assigned to support engineering activities
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, training classes
  • Prepare purchase requisitions as requested
  • Contract file maintenance

Requirements

  • The successful candidate should have an Associate's degree or demonstrated equivalent experience (Bachelor's degree preferred) and experience with manufacturing processes such as welding, machining and assembly and possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screen and substance abuse test.
  • U.S. Citizenship with no dual citizenship is required for this position.
