We are seeking an IT Logistics Leader (WMS) to join our Gexpro Services team in Irving, TX

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Logistics Leader (WMS), in our Dallas or Greenville office location, with strong technical abilities who is a self-starter and can serve as a point-of-contact in support of our Gexpro Services business. This role will partner with site leaders and operations managers to support existing and new systems, and to help define technology strategy, execute the strategy, track against milestones, and drive results in collaboration with partner teams. This role requires some knowledge of the distribution process, and how system solutions fit into the processes. The focus of this role will be on supporting and driving process efficiencies through Pathguide, our Warehouse Management System.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as an application (functional and technical) and data expert.
  • Act as a primary consultant to internal stakeholders for system questions, issues, and enhancements.
  • Review, assess and resolve system support tickets for impact and facilitate prioritization with the business.
  • Analyze multiple medium-difficult business problems and production issues and assess how they can be resolved; Own the resolution of the issue or enhancement or coordinate advanced escalation.
  • Develop expertise in relational data structures that support the application(s).
  • Develop expertise in business processes and inter-relationships.
  • Conduct root causes analysis in support of process improvements and to prevent problem reoccurrence.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to drive issue resolution; maintenance.
  • Plan and scope requirements across multiple integrated and/or inter-related systems and stakeholders.
  • Establish detailed functional/technical specifications from Client requests.
  • Coordinate with other IT & Development teams for changes that impact multiple systems.
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct testing of solutions.
  • Develop and deliver user training and user documentation.
  • Under general direction, lead the planning and implementation of projects and enhancements including facilitating the definition of project scope, schedule, budget, goals, and deliverables with key stakeholders.
  • Adhere to proper Change / Release control procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 yrs of experience in Systems support and analysis.
  • 3-5 yrs of ERP experience (QAD preferred) 
  • 3-5 yrs of WMS experience (Pathguide/Latitude preferred)
  • 1-3 yrs of using SQL.
  • Familiar with distribution business processes such as receiving, shipping, cycle counting, inventory adjustments, etc.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities: keen attention to detail Solution-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex issues.
  • Ability to work independently, while engaging the customer and providing information to the team.
  • Experience adapting in a dynamic work environment.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to handle concurrent responsibilities and tasks under pressure, within required timeframes.
  • Ability to travel as needed for Site support, efficiency/LEAN workouts, etc
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with QAD and Pathguide/Latitude WMS is a plus


Education:

  • A 4 -year degree in Computer Science or related field. Appropriate additional experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
