Job Description

We are seeking an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Technical Consultant to join Rexel Automations team in Denver, CO. 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist partner OEM’s in conversion opportunities of Rockwell Automation products
  • Execute proof of concepts, control system design reviews, application programming consultation and focused application training using existing technical knowledge and control system products
  • Show extensive domain knowledge of Integrated Architecture solutions for discrete and process partner OEM’s.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Working experience with automation hardware and software products.  Preferred familiarity with Rockwell Automation solutions.
  • Minimum 5 years of electrical controls design, field service, or commercial engineering experience within an industrial automation Environment is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the application of Rockwell Automation core products and systems: Integrated Architecture, Kinetix motion control, PowerFlex drives, ControlLogix and CompactLogix controllers, FactoryTalkView visualization, I/O platforms, communication networks (Ethernet/IP, ControlNet and DeviceNet), Safety products / Safety Controllers, and related Software products.
  • Presentation skills for both group and individual situations at all levels of customer organization (high level management, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Human Resources, Purchasing).
  • Effective listening, communication, negotiation and consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to transform product and service sales opportunities into system sales opportunities when appropriate.
  • Strong arbitration skills to effectively listen, communicate and gain consensus.
  • Leadership Skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.


 Qualifications:

  • A four year engineering or technical degree or appropriate experience, Electrical preferred, Mechanical accepted
  • Ability to identify and demonstrate technology solutions for customer applications.
  • Ability to manage a project including pull through business.
  • Valid driver's license for Region of business operation with a good driving record.
