Job Description

We are looking for a Project Services Specialist for Rexel USA in Denver CO.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Preconstruction team as a Project Services Specialist. The Project Services Specialist works closely with the Electrical Contractors, Lighting Manufacturers, Gear Manufacturers, Quotations Department and Account Managers during the preconstruction phase of Specified-Build, Design-Build, Design Assist or Integrated projects and is responsible for creating submittals packages, facilitating review meeting and preparing the job for turnover to the Project Management team. The ideal candidate would be proficient in the use of a PC, PDF editor programs, and Microsoft Office Suite, have strong written & verbal communication skills, ability to communicate and coordinate multiple people and groups, and demonstrate ability in developing relationships with contractors and/or end users.


  • Responsible for the submittal process. Also responsible for the review once accepted by contractor or engineer. Facilitate negotiations of exceptions or notations.
  • Ensure that job files are kept current with all relative information pertaining to projects during the submittal process, including customer purchase orders, sales orders, vendor purchase orders, cut sheets, vendor and customer correspondence, change orders, specification sheets, returned submittals and final approved submittals.
  • Build strong professional relationships with customers and vendors to provide the best customer service possible.


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University preferred.
  • Previous experience working with customers (preferably contractors/vendors) and experience working on Eclipse systems and processing orders are helpful.
  • Project Management in Electrical distribution preferred but not required.
  • Individual must possess organizational skills, communication skills, product knowledge and application, and understanding of the distribution process.

Language Ability:

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
