RISE is an independent, state-owned research institute that offers unique expertise and about 100 testbeds and demonstration facilities, instrumental in future-proofing technologies, products and services. Extensive expansion is presently being made at the ICT division in Lund to form an internationally competitive group specialized in critical systems. Important parts of this environment include security, reliable wireless communication and critical software. The research is done in close collaboration with both the industry in Sweden, as well as with leading academic partners such as Lund University.

We are looking for a post doc in computer science with focus on secure and reliable industrial control systems. The position is in a research group related security and reliable communication in industrial control systems. The position is specifically connected to a five-year SSF funded research project: “SEC4FACTORY: Cyber Security for Next Generation Factory”. The project work is done in close cooperation with Lund university and ABB. The consortia include experts in security, reliable wireless communication and critical software. Your role is to take responsibility for the development of a testbed within the project and conduct applied research on this testbed. The testbed is built to research, develop and test reliability and security features of next generation cloud and edge-based control systems.

The applicant must hold a doctoral degree in computer science or equivalent. Experience from industrial control systems, communication and security research is a merit.  The applicant should currently be an active researcher in the relevant field with a good publication record. Experience engineering in an industrial environment is a plus.

Position and start date

We offer a fixed-period employment of two years. Applications will be evaluated continuously, and the start date will be agreed with the successful applicant.
