In the picturesque town of Woodstock there is a 3rd Line Engineer role open to 2nd and 3rd line engineers with server and systems knowledge within modern Microsoft environments. This client is a Managed Service Provider of IT solutions and needs an experienced IT Engineer to provide 3rd line support, project support and change management work.

The role:

  • Provide expert support for escalated issues from the service desk
  • Carry out relevant daily checks on the client's Infrastructure
  • Look after, improve and enhance the client's network and infrastructure
  • Implement and maintain the VMWare environment
  • Monitor and develop DR plans for clients
  • Produce high level documentation to help with best practise across the IT team
  • Maintain client's software systems- keep them up to date and functioning to a high-performance level
  • Proactively improve the client's infrastructure solutions and recommend innovative solutions.

The skills required:

  • Windows Operating systems up to 2010
  • Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2019
  • Exchange Server up to 2016
  • Networking skills
  • Virtualisation skills
  • ITIL
  • SCCM
  • Good knowledge of back ups
  • Office 365 would be good to know too

The relationships they build with clients are very strong and the variety of work they take on is wide. The environment is very welcoming and friendly and the office itself is in a stunning barn conversion.

The benefits of the 3rd Line Engineer:

This 3rd Line Engineer role is paying between £35,000-£40,000 per annum plus benefits including holiday, pension, discounts off retailers, health care vouchers, cycle to work scheme etc.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
