Accounting Clerk - Peterborough

Robert Half Cambridge are currently working with a Global, innovative commerce provider who are recruiting for a Accounting Clerk to join their finance team based in Peterborough.

Overview of role

Day to day duties of The Accounting Clerk will include but not be limited to:

  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., cash, Po's & AP invoices, expense vouchers, etc)
  • Verifying the accuracy of accounting documents or records.
  • Intrastat and VAT return for UK entities, but also other Europe entities
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Reconciles records with internal company entities, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigates questionable data.
  • Assist the AP / AR Manager and team

A premier provider of innovative solutions that power commerce around the world. We are looking for a candidate to join our Europe Finance team within the Peterborough manufacturing entity. This person will report to the UK Financial Analyst based in Peterborough and will be responsible for general accounting support for UK and Europe entities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to perform independently and with cross functional teams.

The ideal candidate Profile:

  • First and successful working experience as Accounting Clerk
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • MS Office knowledge, in particularly Excel
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • ACCA/CIMA/AAT Accounting qualification or relevant experience

Salary & Benefits

Role of Accounting Clerk is paying up to 28k plus excellent benefits
