Accounts Payable administrator

Role - Full Time, Permanent up to £21,000.00 + 40 days holiday

Robert half are recruiting for a developing finance administrator to join a large, well known, leading organisation who are in the education sector.This is an exceptional opportunity for a AAT studier or finance graduate with strong administration skills and a desire to learn and study. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Raising invoices and reconciling to the ledger
  • Ensure all quotes and order acknowledgements received from suppliers are handled correctly
  • Working out VAT payments.
  • Pay out money via BACS or by cheque
  • Check and reconcile supplier statements
  • File invoices and statements
  • Deal with purchase enquiries
  • Process expenses
  • Deal with enquires


This Role would suit a graduate or developing finance assistant who is keen to learn and grow within an organisation. As you develop Study support can become available, and genuine career progression.

  • Strong organisational skills, including ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a pleasant and friendly telephone manner
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of customers, politely and professionally using tact and diplomacy, face to face and also on the phone.
  • Strong computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office Packages, Word, Excel, mailing and internet facilities
  • Aptitude to learn new technology applications.
  • There is a lot of spreadsheet work and you must be a confident user of this package as the majority of documents that you will be using, creating and navigating will be in Excel format.

Full-time, Permanent, Purchase ledger, finance administrator.

Salary: Up to £21,000.00 /year
