Assistant Company Secretary - Property Management - London - £55,000

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Company Secretary to join the team of this market leading Property Management company. Reporting to the Company Secretary & DPO; the Company Secretary will receive a competitive starting salary alongside a rewarding benefits package.

Job Title: Assistant Company Secretary Industry: Property Management Location: London Package: £55,000 basic salary + disc bonus.

The Role: The role of the assistant company secretary is to ensure that the firm complies with standard legal and financial practice, Companies House and employment requirements and that the organisation maintains high standards of corporate governance. E.g.

  • The key responsibility of this role will be supporting the Company Secretary in the effective and efficient provision of secretariat services to the Board and its sub-committees
  • Organising, preparation of agendas and board packs, requesting reports, formatting, collating and distributing meeting papers.
  • Scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, ordering refreshments and managing presenter schedules.
  • Maintaining statutory records for the firm.
  • Dealing with correspondence, collating, reviewing and preparing information and writing reports ensuring that outcomes are communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring timely maintenance of the corporate database Blueprint and other internal systems.
  • Assisting the Company Secretary in monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and to take appropriate action.

The Candidate: The successful Assistant Company Secretary candidate will have the following:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • ICSA part-qualified or in the stages of ICSA qualification.
  • Candidates with appropriate practical experience will also be considered.
  • Company secretarial experience to include board support and company administration experience, preferably in Insurance/Financial Services environment.
  • Experience of liaising with stakeholders at all levels
