Robert Half Finance & Accounting are working with a global energy business with a stunning campus style HQ in Epsom. There is on-site parking, a gym for all employees and a fantastic, well stocked staff canteen.

The Role

As a Finance Analyst you will take on responsibility for;

  • Support the Operations team to enable proactive and effective financial control of account operations
  • Functional responsibility for overall timeliness and accuracy of the contracts monthly billing
  • Ensuring full audit trail of all financial transactions including SOX compliance requirements
  • Ensuring Commercial models are adhered to, and correct billings passed to the client with sign-off as appropriate
  • Computing and Posting the E&PS Journal vouchers for all Accruals, and Charge-outs to the different cost centres across the different contract numbers
  • Ensuring the E&PS stewardship report is completed on time with all the commentaries updated for all the sites in UK
  • Ensuring the managers on the account are always adhering to company internal financial policies
  • Assisting in completion and accuracy of company plan and forecasts
  • Tracking actual vs budget and managing the budget tracking meeting for all the sites in UK
  • Credit control and managing and maintaining the aged debt
  • Inputting of the weekly overtime on the system and controlling the overtime spend against the budget
  • Raising the Purchase Orders, tracking the cost against Purchase orders, ensuring that all Purchase Orders are closed when the job is complete
  • Reviewing purchase orders on the monthly/quarterly basis and closing them out on a regular basis ensuring that all invoices are sent to the different sites and invoices are approved on time
  • Liaising with the various managers and ensuring that all invoice related queries are dealt with and resolved on time
  • Chasing for invoices and ensuring no invoices are outstanding for more than 3 months
  • Taking responsibility for all the administrative work including filing as required by the finance team
  • Ensuring smooth running of all finances by resolving issues, adhering to the processes and procedures

The Person

  • Part qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills essential - particularly Excel to Pivot table level
  • Must be flexible and able to use own initiative with the ability to challenge/question process, procedures, managers, clients
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Team player able to support the operation demands


£175 - £225 per day
