Robert Half are currently working with an excellent organisation based in Swindon who are looking for a Finance and Payroll Assistant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

Role

The purpose of this role is to provide support across the finance team and the wider business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely & accurate processing of purchase invoices
  • Checking & processing employee expenses & credit cards
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Preparation and proposal of supplier & expenses payment run
  • Timely & accurate processing of cash book transactions
  • Credit Control - including sales invoicing
  • Process company monthly payroll
  • Administration of company pension and death in service scheme
  • Assisting in calculation of month end purchase accruals & pre-payments
  • Maintain nominal ledgers on a monthly basis, through purchase order and invoices
  • Preparing ad-hoc expenditure analysis reports
  • Supporting the Finance Manager and department in preparation of financial data
  • Any other ad-hoc duties requested by the Finance Manager

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • AAT Desirable (Level 2 passed or Level 3 in progress or passed) but QBE will be considered
  • Competent in book keeping
  • Competent in using Sage Payroll
  • Experience of managing employee expense claims
  • Experience of invoicing and receipting clients and suppliers
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary & Benefits

This is a full time position earning £24,000 to £25,000 pa DOE as well as an attractive benefits package including pension and on-site parking.
