A Group Financial Accountant is required to join a fast-paced UK listed Group based in Slough. If you are a finance professional who is due to qualify soon or has recently qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) then this broad role could offer an excellent step in your career with a nationally recognised brand.

This is a critical role within the wider reporting and controlling team and will directly support the Group Financial Accountant.

The Role

In this Group Financial Accountant role the main duties will include:

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and Board pack including explanation of variances against budget and prior year
  • Preparation of the Group interim results and year end Annual Report
  • Manage the consolidation of the Group P&L budget including preparation of the Group Balance Sheet and Cash Flow budgets
  • Manage financial modelling for business plans and other forecasts
  • Actively participate in ad-hoc projects within the business for example, ERP upgrade and group restructuring
  • Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts and provide support for tax computations
  • Manage year end external audit process
  • Maintain Group accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS
  • Implementation and ongoing management of IFRS 16 accounting
  • Preparation of technical accounting papers when applicable for new reporting requirements

Your Profile

The successful Group Financial Accountant will be an experienced finance professional who is due to qualify soon or has qualified recently, as such training will be provided in key areas to ensure you are given the best opportunity to perform to a high level. You will be keen to learn and develop your skills and have the confidence to work independently and suggest improvements. Experience of management and financial reporting in a group environment would be beneficial, along with exposure to IFRS reporting.

Our client is a growing UK group within the logistics sector with its headquarters based in modern offices in Slough. You will be part of a group finance team but have exposure to divisional operations teams as well as finance colleagues across the divisions. They offer a fast paced environment where staff are empowered to make decisions and improvements wherever possible.

Salary & Benefits

This Group Financial Accountant role will pay £50,000-£60,000 per annum plus benefits. Parking is available at the office or the office is a short walk from train links and served by bus routes.

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
