Robert Half are recruiting for a Junior Internal Sales Manager to join a global Industrial manufacturing business who specialise in conduits, ventilation and air conditioning to join a growing business who have double their turn over in the last 5 years. As a Junior sales manager your role within the business will be to ongoing support of commercial activities.Ensuring best practices are applied, delivering best customer service and ensuring profitability.

Description:

The purpose of the role is to globally support all commercial activity of the branch, to assist ASM's, the internal teams in the UK and across Europe in the preparation of quotations, the chasing of said quotations and to in collaboration with colleagues in all departments and our clients.Good communication skills is needed in every area, a commercial outlook, IT literate, supper organised, ability to work under pressure and to dead lines, a technical mind set and a the will to succeed are some of the traits we are looking for.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Check all relevant data is present
  • Obtain data, if not complete
  • Register Enquiry
  • Set up quotation folder
  • Send enquiry to technical department
  • Prepare our quotation and offer in conjunction with the technical office
  • Send prepared quotation to client
  • Chase quotation
  • Agree payment terms and conditions with client
  • Chase, sell and closed the sale/final agreement with client

Ongoing Projects :

  • Liaise with clients regarding dates and work/delivery schedules
  • Liaise with contractors
  • Liaise with logistics departments
  • Prepared RAMS as required
  • Organise access as required
  • Check for Variations
  • Acquire Variation orders as required
  • Check costing and deviations, negotiating with clients as necessary
  • Liaise with technical department and general management
  • Reporting - Weekly update of enquiry log including;Projects won, Projects lost,Cost, Specification, Lead times etc.

Person specification:

The right candidate for this role will be organised, with high energy and a strong willingness to succeed. Experience in the Steel or ventilation industry would be beneficial. Desirable skills include;

  • Experience in manufacturing sales ( Ventilation , Chimney , Ac ducting or HVAC.
  • Able to read drawing using programs such as CAD or other software.
  • It literate including; Use of excel and Microsoft office.
