Role

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are working with an international business based in Swindon. The Finance team have responsibility for managing all the accounting activities of the company including key elements of Compliance and Business Partnering.

This role will report directly to the Finance Department Manager and cover many Finance tasks within the organisation ranging from Month End Reporting, Statutory Accounts, Budgeting and Treasury Management.

Reporting to the Finance Department Manager, tasks shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Producing monthly reports and accounts to meet group timescales.
  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts and liaising with auditors.
  • Reviewing, monitoring, posting and auditing Branch Accounts.
  • Creating forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
  • Treasury Management including weekly and long-term cash forecasting.
  • Support the Finance Departmental Manager by enhancing the internal control framework policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process and reporting improvements.
  • Manage finance team members and assist in their continuous development.
  • Leading and participating in ad-hoc business projects.

Profile

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
  • High level of analytical ability along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Statutory Accounts experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Extensive Budgeting and Forecasting knowledge.
  • Able to contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Energetic and engaging with a positive 'can do attitude'.
  • Flexible and agile in taking on new challenges.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues throughout the business.
  • IT skills to include advanced Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Valid driving licence.

Salary and Benefits

You will receive a competitive salary of £60,000 pa plus a company car as well as an attractive benefits package including pension.
