Robert Half Technology has been selected to recruit for a Senior Development Consultant (Engineering & Quality). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global brand.

The Role

You will be responsible for the creation of new learning solutions to deliver enhanced technical capability for Product Engineering and Quality functions. Solutions may be created in-house through applying existing knowledge or engagement with subject matter experts, and/or in conjunction with external providers.

Key responsibilities and skills

You'll join the brand with significant experience of building technical learning solutions and be able to identify any additional resources and likely time required to reach a good solution. You'll also be knowledgeable in Learning and Development methodologies (eg competency frameworks, learning needs analysis, adult learning pedagogy, approaches to assessment and evaluation) and have previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of successful delivery with impact. You'll be able to demonstrate your experience of working with external providers to deliver learning solutions, including writing clear statements of work, identifying and supporting the selection of potential delivery partners along with working with multiple stake holders at all levels to design, build and deploy effective learning solutions which are cost effective.

  • Have a working knowledge of UK academic qualification levels (2 to 7)
  • Be an individual with a strong set of experiences in an engineering / technical discipline who also understands the wider trends affecting the sector.
  • Be an effective team player, who can identify clear learning outcomes, which are focused and will make impact. Who is comfortable challenging to ensure real needs are identified and quantified, and who can guide on the appropriate format of solutions which could be deployed.
  • Be able to manage complexity in respect of the wide range of factors in creating and implementing success learning interventions through being able to balance conflicting demands of content, cost, learner availability, learner numbers, duration, geography, learner demographics etc.
  • Be an individual who is able to develop relationships with key customers and can use their experience and personal style to ensure that high performance is maintained.
  • Embrace the opportunity to adopt digital forms of delivery and knowledge transfer where appropriate to support a cultural shift away from face to face learning

Our client considers that this role does not meet the criteria to be considered within the Home Office Shortage Occupation list. £37,900 - £45,000

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
