Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager to join an organisation based in North Birmingham. This role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to progress to Financial Controller within 2/3 years.

Duties will include:

  • Production of management accounts
  • Lead the annual external audit and support the production of Statutory Accounts
  • Budgeting
  • Profitability Analysis
  • Ensuring the credit control processes are in place
  • Cash flow management
  • Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Ad hoc projects
  • Extensive business partnering with all areas of the business
  • Producing meaningful management information to aid decision making
  • Managing a team of 3 direct reports within a team of 7
  • Authorise payment runs
  • Being hands on with all levels of the department


  • Ideally ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
  • Strong leadership skills & experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent management, written and verbal communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate proficiently at all levels in a way that is enabling and supporting yet effective and results driven
  • Highly energised and motivated with a high level of commitment
  • Championing Effective Change
  • You must be happy supporting all levels of the finance team and be used to being hands on

Salary & Benefits

  • £45,000 - £55,000 - Depending on experience
  • 25 days+ 8 bank holidays
  • Life assurance x2

  • Pension - 6% employer - 4% employee,
  • Some flexibility (1 day from home)

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
