HERE’S THE JOB DESCRIPTION:
Title:
Associate Environ Support Technician 
Pay: up to $18.00/hr
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91320
Duration: 3 year contract                            

*** Must be able to work night shift from 3:00 am - 12:00 pm***

Job Details:

  • Responsible for providing facility/equipment cleaning, and sanitation, in support of FDA regulated biotechnological manufacturing areas.
  • All work to be completed to assure minimal impact to production while complying with Standard Operating Procedure's (SOP's), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) and Amgen regulations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform the cleaning/sanitation/floor care of the manufacturing areas and equipment.
  • Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working inventory for the equipment/supplies that the team is responsible for.
  • Perform various 'housekeeping' activities. (i.e. keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment, cleaning of exterior, facility, utility, mezzanine and office areas).
  • Ensure and may review operational paperwork, daily logs, files, and work order documentation is completed per SOP's.
  • Participate in a detailed training program in order to develop one's knowledge in the cleaning and other areas of the plant.
  • All work must be completed in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's), cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies.
  • Plan and schedule own work activities with production staff to minimize impact to production activities.
  • Assist in the development, revision, and updating of related SOPs for work related areas.
  • May assist in the evaluation of the current cleaning procedures/equipment and recommend changes to optimize the cleaning program.
  • May assist in the Preventative Maintenance and daily activities of the facility and equipment.
  • Additional responsibilities upon need.

Skills:

  • Cleaning experience
  • Able to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and other documentation
  • Communicate within work group and with other departments
  • Willingness to work in an environment where cleaning products are used such as bleach, industrial strength cleaning solutions and disinfectants
  • Able to lift 25 lbs up to 4 ft high regularly throughout the day
  • Ability to work all shifts in support of 7/24 operations

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform the cleaning/sanitation of the manufacturing areas and equipment.
  • Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working inventory for the equipment/supplies
  • Perform various 'housekeeping' activities. (i.e. keeping work areas clean, cleaning of equipment).
  • Document and review appropriate paperwork, daily logs, files, and work order documentation per Good Documentation Practices.
  • Participate in a detailed training program and develop training plan
  • All work must be completed in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's), cGMPs, SOPs, and Amgen policies.
  • Plan and schedule own work activities with production staff to minimize impact to production activities.
  • Develop, revise, and update relevant SOPs and other controlled documents
  • May assist in the evaluation of the current cleaning procedures/equipment and recommend changes to optimize the cleaning program.
  • Actively partners with Engineering and Facilities Maintenance to escalate weak signals associated with equipment performance and/or reliability in the functional area.
  • Quick to escalate and document equipment issues within the Maximo work order system.
  • Serves as an advocate for safety, soliciting ideas for improvement and hazard prevention.
