Position Title: Body Interior Engineer (5 seat & 2 restraint) #268810 - 7 Openings
Rate: $44.50/hr
Location: Dearborn, MI 48124
Duration: 3 year contract + possible extension and / or hire

Position Description: 
This posting is for a total of 7 Body Interior Engineers - 5 Seats and 2 Restraints. CANDIDATES MUST HAVE FORD EXPERIENCE AND/OR SEAT/RESTRAINT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. Details of the position are outlined in "Primary Skills Required" and "Experience Required" sections.

Skills Required:
• Design & Release seat features (e.g., lumbar, armrests, climate controlled seat components, multi-contour seat components, headrests) for global seat program
• Design & Release Restraints Assemblies (Seat Belts, Airbags, OCS, etc)
• Primary interface between Core Seat Engineering and Seat Complete Applications Engineering
• Manage delivery of seats/restraints component design & timing to ensure flawless delivery for all major programs
• Lead seat/restraint quality delivery (warranty/TGW) for all seat components
• Develop / implement functional cost and strategic CBP plans for the commodity.
• Manage financial status-to-target for each commodity on each major program

Experience Required:
• CANDIDATE MUST HAVE FORD EXPERIENCE AND/OR SEAT/RESTRAINT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
• 3+ years experience in D&R Engineering
• Thorough knowledge of GPDS and proven skill of interpreting process deliverables for Seats Engineering
• Functional / working knowledge of all D&R tools incl WERS, AVBOM, GPIRS, eFDVS, eDeviation
• Launch experience in Seats commodity from TT – OKTB on at least one major program
• Demonstrated leadership skills with engineering fundamentals such as target setting, target cascades, design completion, verification, and confirmation
• Familiarity with Seat Engineering GCBP's, Attachment 'C's, DEA waterfall
• Demonstrated understanding of seat system/sub-system/components competitive benchmarking, value, and supply-base

Education Required:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering

Education Preferred:
Masters Degree 

Additional Information:
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE FORD EXPERIENCE AND/OR SEAT/RESTRAINT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
• Position will require occasional travel to Ford and supplier assembly plants for readiness and sign-off events and travel to global Ford engineering hubs.
