Title: Desktop Support Technician (4 openings)
Pay: $18-26/hr (may be negotiable)
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90095
Length: 6 month contract + possible extension

  • Heavy desktop focus, enterprise experience, and strong customer service skills.
  • Providing desktop support to clients within current project (hardware/software)
  • Assist in the discovery of computer assets
  • Managing inventory of computer assets
  • Assist in the computer refresh project


  • As a member of the Desktop Support Services team, the Desktop Support person is responsible for the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused, first and second level technical and end-user support for staff within assigned departments and/or customer segments as needed.
  • The Desktop Support person consistently responds to and updates support requests using defined Service Management procedures and applies analytical skill to assess and resolve technical issues related to computing needs of end-users.
  • Responsibilities include configuration of computing equipment (PC/Windows troubleshooting (laptops, tablets, mobile), OS and software installation, basic hardware maintenance, user account setup and maintenance, and installation of printers and/or other wired and wireless peripherals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (or related) OR two years of relevant professional experience and training
  • Possess the verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization; ability to use standard English grammar and punctuation.
  • Technical knowledge of network technologies including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, and WINS.
  • Ability to effectively utilize common office productivity software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, and internet browsers.
  • Technical knowledge of supporting Windows Active Directory on multiple domains including Group Policy management and user account creation and maintenance.
  • Technical knowledge of Windows operating system configurations, troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to network connectivity, logon credentials, messaging, security, encryption, and associated peripherals.
  • Technical and operational expertise in the integration and support of a variety of desktop operating systems. Including Dell and HP computers and laptops as well as printers and other peripherals.
