Position Title: Financial Analyst III - 2 Openings
Rate: Up to $35.00/hr 
Location: Novi, MI 48377
Duration: Long term/indefinite contract with possible opportunity to hire direct
40 hours per week + possible OT

Position Summary:
Develops, interprets and implements complex financial and accounting principles and techniques for the purposes of financial planning, cost analysis, costing, budgeting, internal controls and reporting. Will handle both Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis. Minimum 5 years experience in accounting field, experience with cost accounting, and various analysis reporting. Experience in manufacturing. Advance level Excel skills. Oracle EBS, Microsoft Access and PowerPoint skills, and knowledge of SOX or J-SOX preferred.

Experience in financial statement preparation, Fixed Asset management,  Financial Analysis, assisting internal/external auditors, Various account reconciliations (e.g. bank rec), various journal entries preparation (>3yrs.), Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance, knowledge of IFRS, USGAAP, and JSOX, Advance level of MS Excel, Experience in Oracle EBS, Spanish skill would be an asset.


  • Coordinates with all levels of management to gather, analyze and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, trends and operating forecasts.

  • Analyzes financial information to determine financial performance & identify factors affecting costs & profits.

  • Researches and prepares reports on subjects such as rate of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, impact of governmental regulations and GAAP & IFRS changes.

  • Analyzes and recommends improvement of internal cost and financial controls.

  • Assists in month end closings, prepares forecasts and reconciles inventory.

  • Maintain and organize monthly closing documents and JSOX documents.

  • Analyzes operating costs and prepares periodic reports for the Company and management.

  • Assists in preparing annual and interim sales and operational budgets.

  • Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or operations.

  • Performs internal physical inventory, audit & inventory-related business flow, audits and prepares audit reports for management.

  • Assists during external CPA inventory physical audit semi-annually and annually.

  • Create and maintain the database of product sales prices, product costs, product description, product item numbers for the cost analysis

  • Maintain updated BOM, BOM for budget and BOM for 1st and 2nd Standard Cost up-date with Factory cost accounting team.

  • Recommend or develop new processes to improve the routine detail procedures or methods.

  • Fixed Asset Maintenance.

  • Prepare various reserve calculations, such as LCM (Lower of Cost or market), cost devaluations.

  • Prepare Royalty and Patent report

  • Assist in preparing Hyperion Financial Reporting (DIVA/D-CAFE)

Accounting or Financial experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution company.

Level 3 (Career)

Knowledge- Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.  This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.

Job Complexity- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.

Supervision- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Experience/Education- Typically requires a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years related experience or Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
