Job Description

Title: Manufacturing Engineer III/IV (1-2 openings)
Pay: Level 3 (up to $48.00/hr); Level 4 (up to $61.00/hr)
Location: Canoga Park, CA 91304
Length: 6 month contract + possible extension and/or hire

Shift: 2nd shift (2:40PM-11:30PM)

** Candidates must be U.S. Citizens **** Permanent residents are NOT eligible for this role **** Dual citizens are NOT eligible for this role. Also, candidates with a current non-U.S. passport in addition to a U.S. passport are NOT acceptable

Additional Notes:

  • Looking for go getters with positive, can-do attitudes. Candidates must be open to learning and be able to take initiative. This is by far the most important attribute needed
  • Level 3 candidates will have at least 5 years of applicable experience
  • Level 4 candidates will have at least 9 years of applicable experience
  • Candidates must be able to attend an in-person interview at their own expense


Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer classifications are responsible for design, fabrication, modification, analysis and evaluation of manufacturing operations, processes, procedures and production layouts for the support of manufacturing / assembly operations for rocket engine components and/or systems, equipment installation, machining, metal forming, welding and brazing, and material handling.

Skills: Required:

  • Designing and planning of layout component fabrication, assembly and material handling, planning of sequence of operations, and specification procedures.
  • The scope of responsibility will be for several mechanical components or as a process engineer supporting new and developing process.


Desired:

  • Tight tolerance machining, Welding, Design systems (ProE, CATIA, VisMockup,  CAD/virtual manufacturing).
  • Manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes and systems.Verbal and written communication.
  • Project management skills and MS Office applications ( Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Maestro, Delmia and Windchill are preferred, not required.
  • Aerospace experience preferred but not required.


Education/Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline
  • A minimum of 5-9 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
