Title: Production Planning Manager
Salary: $100-$115K – depends on experience
Location: Inglewood, CA 90302
Hours: Must be flexible and available to work either on the first shift or second shift

Must be able to pass a background and drug screening


As the Production Planning Manager you will be responsible for providing leadership through your management of the Production Planning Team.  You will be an integral part of our business that ensures accurate planning and scheduling of product to be manufactured for our Customers.  To achieve this you will be working with various departments to continuously improve MRP to help ensure level loading of the factory to successfully meet deliveries. These departments include IT, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, quality, production control and inventory control.


  • Manage and provide leadership to the Production Planning Department to assure MRP supports contract requirements
  • Continually develop and educate staff to excel in their roles to support manufacturing and delivery commitments
  • Generate monthly and quarterly build plans
  • Work closely with various departments to improve MRP.  This includes lead-times, standards, and all other factors.
  • Provide and maintain department Metrics that are inline with company goals and operational targets
  • Manage the overall planning process to maintain alignment between contract and MRP driven completion dates
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships within the organization to work as one team.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars and presentations as directed by upper management
  • Demonstrate an earnest commitment to the company’s objectives for Perfect Delivery, Perfect Quality, 5S, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and any other improvement initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • CPIM certificate or significant related training, coursework, or experience a must
  • Minimum 5 years SAP experience a must
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in a mid to large size company
  • Minimum 5 years working background within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace and/or defense-related & one utilizing "Lean" concepts and practices
  • Strong analytical skills  and working knowledge of LEAN practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel and pivot tables
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • General understanding of engineering drawings
  • Self-motivated to excel, act upon and achieve best possible results
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
