Position Title: Project Engineer - Truck Steering Program #270788
Rate: DOE
Location: Dearborn, MI 48126
Duration: 2 year contract + possible extension and / or hire

Position Description:

  • Single point of contact for various truck steering programs, lead and facilitate program milestone delivery events for mechanical and systems steering teams.
  • Manage AVBOM pre-WERS release, coordinate and manage WERS releases and 2 pager approval.
  • Lead and facilitate team of four meetings, and ED&T approval process.
  • Manage and facilitate AIMS closure.
  • Track and steering cost, weight, and investment status.

Skills Required:

  • Project management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Ford systems, WERS, AVBOM, GPDS, FEDE.
  • Strong computer skills experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS project.

Skills Preferred:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Facilitate team meetings and get things done.

Experience Required:

  • A working level understanding of for Product Development process and tools, (WERS, AVBOM, GPDS)

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with steering or Chassis systems preferred but not required.

Education Required:

  • Bachelors degree, engineering degree preferred but not required.
