: Sr Associate QA 
Pay: DOE
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA 91320
Duration: 2 year contract with possible extension

Job Description:

  • Under general supervision, this position is responsible for sampling and inspection of raw materials and components and for performing Quality review of documentation for assigned functions (e.g. equipment and maintenance records).
  • Duties will include the operation and maintenance of instruments and equipment associated with sampling, e.g., Toledo balance, pallet jack, fork lift, etc.
  • Maneuvering of large drums required.
  • Execute and track completion of Change Controls and manage the commissioning, qualification and maintenance of GMP equipment.
  • Employees will also be responsible for the maintenance of training records, recording and computing data.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to maneuver 50+ pounds
  • Must be able to pass an eye exam for visual inspection (color test, near vision, depth perception) with or without corrective lenses.
  • General understanding of aseptic techniques, cGMPs, gowning, sampling procedures and safety guidelines
  • Work as a team player and/or independently
  • Multi-task and basic problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Time management
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e. documentation systems, databases and spreadsheets).
  • Demonstrated ability to perform GMP operations including following detailed SOPs, maintaining training, and good documentation practices.
  • Experience managing projects through to completion meeting timelines
  • Evaluating documentation and operations according to company procedures
  • Capable of making decisions independently and determining when to elevate to management, as appropriate in an environment that balances business need, quality and compliance risk
  • Experience working with Quality Systems
  • Project management or change management skills

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of directly related experience
Associate’s degree and 6 years of directly related experience
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of directly related experience

Top Must Have Skill Set:

  • Experience managing and leading projects through to completion meeting timelines. Demonstrated ability to perform GMP operations including following detailed SOPs, maintaining training, and good documentation practices. Evaluating documentation and operations according to company procedures Previous GMP experience

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Onsite Thousand Oaks M-F 8-5pm after training can be flexible on start time (can be any time from 6-9 am but must be an 8 hour day)
  • This is in a warehouse setting, not a QC lab with testing.
  • Daily responsibilities to support Incoming QA deliverables including:
  • Sampling, inspections and release of GMP Raw Materials
  • Management of change controls for Incoming QA equipment for sampling and inspection
  • Supporting equipment validation activities
