Job Description

SUMMARY Assembles electronic products, and solders connections, partially or completely, working at bench or on shop floor by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Positions parts and electronic components of unit being assembled following sample unit, drawings, and/or directions from supervisor.
Checks previous operations workmanship for compliance to standard Wave, Assembly and SMT, and reworks product as required.
Fastens some parts together with screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
Bends and trims leads of electronic components, as required.
Solders connections with soldering iron or other appropriate equipment.
Operates drill press or riveting machine to assist in assembly operations.
May assist in operations of insertion or placement machine, or other equipment, with proper training and direction.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and training. Requires ADCO Soldering Certificate.
This position requires good eye sight, manual dexterity, and ability to follow directions. Must complete soldering training course, and pass soldering proficiency test.
