Job Description


The HR Data Analyst will serve as the System Administrator and Power User of Sequels Human Capital Management System (HCM). This position will be the subject matter expert and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.


  • Delivery of operational and technical support with day to day resolution and management of data within the Ceridian Dayforce HR/Payroll system. Routinely monitor and audit configuration and/or process changes within the system through regular data audits and trend analysis.
  • Ensure the complex inter-dependencies between internal and external systems are maintained to include but not limited to Benefits third-party vendors, 401K and others.
  • Partner with the IT team to ensure systems and processes are connected where necessary.
  • Lead the ongoing training functions of HCM; to include implementation training, documentation, reports and retrieval management and monitoring. Collaborates as necessary to ensure the assigned data accurately describes the services or condition entered into the appropriate systems.
  • Provide support including researching and resolving system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
  • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting release notes, presenting new functionalities for approval of implementation, testing release prior to putting into production, and educating end-users of upgrade changes/fixes/enhancements
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train employees on processes/functionality. Train new system users.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HCM with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR and Payroll knowledge and HCM application/tools knowledge. Participate in user group meetings/conferences


Education: Associate’s degree in Business Administration. Bachelor's degree and certification in HRIS preferred
Experience: Must have advance knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce system (2+ years required). Systems implementation experience preferred

Computer Skills:  Microsoft Office with advanced knowledge of Excel
