Sequel Alliance Family Services offers the full spectrum of behavioral healthcare services to adults, adolescents, children and families. Our services are designed to provide intensive outpatient behavioral health, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities support.

We provide high-quality therapeutic office, community and home-based treatment with support services to assist our clients in addressing, managing and overcoming serious emotional, psychological and behavioral problems.

Sequel Alliance Family Services has immediate openings for Habilitative Interventionists who are motivated, compassionate, and flexible to work with our adolescent clients, ages 3 – 17, with developmental disabilities in the community and school settings to help build social skills.  Responsibilities include implementing therapy goals in daily therapeutic sessions and advising and assisting parents/guardians with therapeutic techniques and strategies. 

Additional Job Duties Include:

  • Develop an understanding of each client’s needs, circumstances, and medical conditions as applicable
  • Assist clients in the development of coping skills and symptom management to reduce symptoms that are barriers to living a fulfilling life
  • Assist client in gaining and utilizing skills necessary to function within their daily life
  • Implement evidence based strategies to decrease maladaptive behaviors
  • Maintain the health and safety of the client during each session
  • Independently create diverse activities to address objectives in a way that encourages the client to engage in each session
  • Schedule sessions based on family needs and preferences as well as services outlined in the client’s Plan of Service
  • Maintain open communication with client and family including responsiveness to calls and texts
  • Responsibly and effectively implement Right Response strategies
  • Drive to, from, and during sessions with each client
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly documentation as required, in a timely and accurate manner. Progress notes must be written within 24 hours of service.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings

Qualifications:

  • Current State of Idaho Habilitative Interventionist Certification 
  •  Must have Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following Early Education, Sociology or Psychology
  • Must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Must be able to pass a DHW Criminal Background Check.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid Drivers’ License
  • Must supply proof of auto insurance
  • Ability and willingness to document sessions sufficiently (training provided)
