Job Description

Capital Academy, a Residential Treatment Facility in Camden, NJ serves male adolescents ages 14.5 - 20 upon admission who have mental health, behavioral health and delinquency issues.  Our 60 bed facility is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by NJ DCF, Office of Licensing.

Position Overview

We are looking for Residential Counselors to provide supervision of our students, teach appropriate daily living and social skills, implement daily schedule, assist with behavior management and crisis intervention, supervise group and recreational activies, write reports, assist students with achieving their treatment and behavioral goals and oversee all aspects of daily living for the students.  The Residential Counselor is expected and required to role model how to work cooperatively with their team.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  BA preferred.
  • Current NJ, PA or DE driver's license in good standing.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must pass a physical exam, drug screen test and TB test.
  • Must pass criminal background checks.
  • Available shift(s):  various full time and prn shifts available
