Job Description

  • Exercise vigilance in confidentiality and the maintenance of all record keeping materials.
  • Must be able to perform the four domains of a Substance Abuse Counselor to include; Screening, Assessment, Engagement, Treatment Planning, Collaboration, Referral, Counseling, Professional and Ethical Responsibilities.
  • Conduct the delivery of treatment services of substance abuse for individual, group and family counseling sessions
  • Complete treatment plan reviews as described in the ASAM PPC 2R.
  • Assist in providing on-going training for all staff in the area of substance abuse.
  • Maintain the system of tracking, and monitoring Substances Abuse Services provided to students.
  • Provides services on a weekly basis through individual, group, family and crisis interventions.
  • Maintain file accuracy to comply with state licensing requirements.
  • Completes initial treatment plans, as necessary, to insure service delivery is started without interruptions.
  • Completes quarterly treatment plans and reviews, as necessary, to insure service delivery is not interrupted.
  • Work with behavioral health team to create a unified approach to a client and/or family needs.
  • Maintain open communication interdepartmentally for effective on-going service implementation.
  • All other duties as assigned.
