Job Description

Assists in cleaning, operating, and monitoring, equipment in the yarn department by performing the following duties.


Key Accountabilities

•Assists on raw material set-up and thread yarn material on equipment; places material on racks.
•Assists on Vacuum furnace loading and unloading.
•Continuously monitors and records process/equipment readings.
•Reports equipment or process problems.
•Records production and scrap on production log.
•Removes material after processing.
•Maintains equipment and work area clean.


Job Requirements

•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports.
•Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
•ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 experience preferred.

•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
•Frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
•Occasionally exposure to high precarious places and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
•While on duty, Protective Equipment provided for this position must be used.
