Job Description

Support local project managers to fulfill contractual obligations both technically and commercially. Use engineering and business skills to lead projects through an entire lifecycle. Act as primary interface with external customers and internal department managers. Maintain project documentation and assist with compiling project reports.

Key Accountabilities

*Performs contract/ PO review and confirm order to customer.
•Establishes Time Schedules based on contractual obligations and operational capabilities, identifies critical path, maintain time schedule, manages deviation and corrective actions throughout project execution.
•Tracks and follows up on internal and external (3rd party) supply.
•Takes lead of customer documentation, as built documents for equipment.
•'Drives' the project execution pro-activity.
•Acts as focal point towards customer and for all internal matters regarding a project.
•Ensures that designs and engineering is properly carried out with respect to the contractual obligations and all required design standards (internal and external)
•Analyzes and monitors available engineering resources internally in STR.
•Coordinates projects globally if required, in cooperation with other GMS sites.
•SAP Material master creation for STR.
•Support of other colleagues if required by head of local PM.


Job Requirements

1-2 years experience in one of the a.m. engineering disciplines in a project- oriented role.

Chemical industry experience will be a plus
Preferred Skills:
•Fluent English, additional (Spanish, German, French, Chinese) is a plus.
•Plant Construction & Equipment Commissioning.
•Machining &Manufacturing of chemical process equipment.
•Logistics (regulations, export control, Incotems, Packing. etc.
•Familiar with CAD/ Solid- Edge and database software.
•Scheduling (MS-Project/ CA PPM)

  • SAP system software

Preferred Qualifications

BS in Engineering ( Chemical , Mechanical, ETC.)

Dimension:
Total Production Capacity (annually) ca. $35M
Large Scale Projects up to ca. $8M
Complexity:
•International with customers inside and outside USA
•Cooperation with GMS sites, globally (e.g. France, Germany, India, China, Korea, Japan).
•Basic process engineering mechanical design, piping engineering
•Application of Carbon & Graphite materials in corrosive chemical/ environmental industry.
•Export control regulations.
•Contract Management, Risk Assessment, Claims Management, Change Order Management

Area of Responsibility:
•Commercial: Fulfillment of contractual obligations. Budget responsibility.
•OTD responsibility. Customer leadership. Risk Management.
•Technical: Fulfillment of contractual obligations. Order processing (globally if required). Coordination of involved required technical disciplines. Project and customer documentation.
