We have an opening for a 2nd shift CNC Programmer! This position will involve constructing, altering, and repairing a wide variety of machine parts and gauges to very close tolerances, diagnosing and correcting problems in simple machines and tools, repairing pneumatic and hydraulic circuits, and performing troubleshooting of machine electrical systems. The 2nd shift CNC Programmer will also be responsible for developing and implementing programs in Mastercam, and programming and running lathe, mill and waterjet machines.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating Omax waterjet
  • Programming and Running 5 axis mill turn
  • Programming and Running 4 axis live tooling lathe
  • Reading mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Performing skilled fittings and adjustments

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • 5 Years’ experience minimum
  • Must be able to read/interpret blueprints
  • Must be able to read and use measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, scales, and indicators)
  • Must be able to program independently, work with Mastercam to produce 2D and 3D programs using a solid model
  • Must be able to independently setup and run 3 axis Mazak Mills
  • Must be able to optimize speeds and feeds to efficiently cut materials such as tool steels, aluminum, plastic, and Inconel
  • Must have own tools
  • CNC Apprenticeship/ NIMS Certification preferred
  • Experience diagnosing and correcting problems in machines and tooling, troubleshooting preferred
  • Experience repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
