Our Industrial Engineering team is committed to continuous improvement within manufacturing and distribution. The group utilizes work measurement systems to improve overall organizational effectiveness.

We currently have an opening on this team for an Industrial Engineer. The IE will be responsible for supporting the foundation for Continuous Improvement. The engineer will analyze and interpret data through multiple systems in order to identify and prioritize process improvement projects. The Industrial Engineer will work within cross-functional teams on projects across all of manufacturing and distribution. He/she will utilize lean and six sigma methodologies when applicable, to help lead improvement efforts across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Make use of process improvement techniques, such as Work Measurement, Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and other Lean Manufacturing tools to support Continuous Improvement
  • Develop work standards and improve processes using time study or other standard process evaluation tools
  • Be responsible for helping to maintain process standards or other documents, develop and implementing measuring systems, capacity planning and scheduling systems
  • Provide supportive data for staff planning and line balancing
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, layouts, operation methods, machines and man-hours utilized to determine excessive cost items to effect cost reductions
  • Develop methods and operating data for various types of new equipment, and assist with training and recommend ways and means of correcting and resolving problems
  • Implement Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Develop, maintain, and update Key Process Indicators

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related area of study required
  • Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of cost analysis, work simplification and value stream analysis
  • Proven experience within work measurement and capacity planning
  • MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
  • AutoCAD and IBM Cognos experience a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
