Smalley is currently looking for an Organizational Development/Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team! Reporting to the VP of HR and serving as an integral member of the human resources team, the Organizational Development/Talent Acquisition Manager will be responsible for Smalley’s employee training and development, talent management, employee recruitment, retention and engagement, as well as creating a coaching culture both domestically and internationally. As a member of the HR team, this role will contribute to the development and achievement of the organization’s strategic goals.    

The role works closely with all management levels, including the leadership/executive teams. This is an outstanding career opportunity with room for advancement.   • People Development – Collaborating with Managers and Leaders of the organization on development initiatives, developing strong present and future leadership talent within the organization.
  • Training/Coaching – developing and implementing training programs and ensuring training standards are being met. Fostering mentoring skills, creating a coaching culture both domestically and internationally.
  • Organizational Effectiveness – driving HR review process and ensuring consistent processes across the organization.
  • Recruitment – responsible for the managing and supporting the recruiting staff along with supporting succession programs. Collaborate with leadership and understand hiring needs of each department.
  • Retention – ensuring competitive salary and benefits programs are offered, assisting leadership with employee performance reviews and development plans.
  • Culture- fostering a culture that encourages all its employees to follow their passions, achieve fulfillment, and work together in a collaborative environment.
  • Develop strategic and collaborative relationships with all business team members and external business partners to ensure HR’s direction is always in alignment with organization's strategic direction.
  • Budgeting – working closely with and assisting leadership with their departmental budgets.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably HR related or Business
  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • HR Certifications a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role
  • Strong sense of urgency and results oriented approach
  • Experience negotiating and managing relationships with HR partners and managed service providers
  • Proven track record of effective business leadership, strategic and creative thinking
  • Outstanding communication, business acumen, problem solving and leadership skills
  • Experience facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization
  • Strong mentoring and coaching experience
  • Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
  • Exposure to global business operations both in Europe and Asia
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical human resources and administration initiatives
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
