Job Requirements of Sanitation Worker:
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- General understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment.
- Ability to make decisions based on standard practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Basic understanding of sanitation processes and related equipment.
- Ability to run sanitation equipment.
- Ability to read, comprehend and communicate safety labels on chemical containers.
- Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.
- Ability to frequently handle material from floor to waist, waist to shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying.
- Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, and/or safety glasses may be required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed with little or no notice.
- Ability to work 2nd shift, Monday and Wednesday 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm; Thursday 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm; and Friday 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm.

Sanitation Worker
Sanitation Worker – Toledo, OH
A & M Cheese is a processor and distributor of fine cheeses in the US, and is currently looking for you to fill the role as a Sanitation Worker at our Toledo, OH location and become part of our 2nd shift team. As the Sanitation Worker you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment in the plant in compliance with customer specifications and with company policy related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize equipment using chemicals and power washers.
- Read chemical labels to ensure safe applications.
- Manually scrub certain areas of machines using brushes or scrub pads.
- Cleaning of production area.
- Disassembling equipment.
- Perform all assignments or job tasks according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
- Produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
