Job Description

Staffing Plus is currently looking to work with Paraprofessionals to assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing educational benefit for students in a professional manner and with respect for confidentiality. The experienced paraprofessional should have experience working in Learning Support, Autistic Support, and Emotional Support classrooms.

Job Duties for the Paraprofessional include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists assigned student with daily living and functional activities, such as toileting, hygiene, personal grooming, transfers, etc
  • Escorts assigned student to all activities, remaining with student at all times
  • Escorts student out of a location when required as per positive behavior support plan.
  • Completes Daily Logs, Schedules, and ACCESS paperwork on a daily basis
  • Participates in community based outings, field trips, and transition activities with assigned student
  • Assists the special education teacher in a variety of ways to implement the instructional program, including working directly with children in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
  • Establish effective rapport with student assigned to the classroom; to motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good educational foundation, in accordance with each pupil’s ability.

Job Requirements


  • Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34) 
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151) 
  • FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114) 
  • Proof of a TB test within 2 years
  • High School Diploma or GED in addition to 1 of the following:
  • Completed at least 2 years of study (defined as a minimum of 48 credit hours) at an institution of higher education; or
  • Obtained an associate's (or higher) degree
