Overview

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is a trusted analytical services firm that has provided support to the Department of Defense and many federal agencies over the past 40+ years.  In this capacity, SPA provides analytic and program support to the Surface and Submarine Warfare component of the United States Navy, allowing them to make better decisions regarding their allocation of resources and improving their operation capabilities.

Responsibilities

The successful Fleet Liaison Engineer will analyze the impact of Undersea Warfare (USW) advancements on Fleet operations and identify operational gaps which may be addressed by advancements in USW systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with senior Fleet personnel to identify gaps in existing capabilities, requirements for new systems, and tactical employment of new and existing USW systems.
  • Facilitate trade studies of Fleet requirements related to ASW capabilities.
  • Analyze operational results.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • 10 years relevant experience and relevant training beyond the minimum degree requirement.
  • Expertise to include technology maturity, development, testing, integration, and transition to production.
  • Active Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • 20 years of experience in Undersea Warfare Operations, including command.
