Job Description

TEGNA-owned KUSA/KTVD/9NEWS in Denver, Colorado is seeking an Advertising Manager in its Marketing department.  The 9NEWS Marketing department handles multi-faced marketing campaigns for both 9NEWS and station clients.  We are looking for someone with 8+ years of experience in a creative-messaging field, but not necessarily from broadcast television. 

The Advertising Manager would work closely with the Director of Marketing and Brand in managing day-to-day operation of the production as well as collaborating on long-term strategic planning.  The Advertising Manager will also be responsible for overseeing the sales production business and driving revenue. This role will supervise an employee and work to establish goals, timelines, budgets and projects statuses.

The Advertising Manager will collaborate with clients and advertising staff to establish project objectives, delegate tasks to appropriate team members, direct research, analyze data, and evaluate projects to ensure we meet the expectations of the client, properly represent the brand, and achieve the desired results. 

To be a successful Advertising Manager, this role will be focused on raising awareness and building interest in the products and services of the 9NEWS brand. This person is detail oriented, creative, collaborative problem solver with outstanding communication, project management skills and relationship building tools. The Advertising Manager is critical to the success of the department and has the ability to negotiate contract specifications and create revenue generating ideas. 

Everyone in the marketing department is required to write, produce and edit and the Advertising Manager is no exception.  Every member of the team also brings an additional specialty to the table (graphic design, photography, event planning, etc.); a successful Advertising Manager would also possess an additional special-skill to enhance the capabilities of the department.
